DAY 01 : JAYAPURA ARRIVAL CONNECT TO WAMENA (L,D).
Upon arrival at Sentani airport of Jayapura from Jakarta or Bali, meet and greeting service by your guide and check in on the flight to Wamena around 09.00, right in the heart of the Baliem Valley. Flying past vertical mountain cliffs and mist clad valleys, you will understand why the place remained isolated for so many centuries !.
After After passing local customs - there are alcohol restrictions in the Baliem Valley. We will explore the area and get first impressions of another world. Napua hill with it's panoramic view of the valley, Wesaput village and it's traditional hanging bridge, some Dani villages and traditional market. Afternoon check in at your hotel, your base for further exploration to Mt. Trikora and Habema lake. Dinner and overnight at Baliem Pilamo Hotel.
DAY 02 ; WAMENA - HABEMA LAKE (B,L,D).
Breakfast at hotel, leaving early in the morning your hotel to Habema lake with all porters, cook, and guide by 4WD. You have to report the traveling permit to Indonesian Military in Napua post. Driving by 4WD it does take 2-3 hours including stop on the way, upon arrive at Habema lake you will stay 1 night before do a trek to Mt. Trikora. Lunch and dinner will serve at local house or in the tent. The rest of the day is free program or you can explore the Habema lake surrounding to see some of birds.
DAY 03 ; HABEMA LAKE - UPPER UWE RIVER (B,L,D)
After breakfast, early morning start your expedition with all the team by walk to Upper uwe river about 5 - 6 hours on foot through muddy , small forest, river and stony. lunch will serve on the way. Dinner and over night in the tent. Out team will set up temporary house or we build up a tent for you.
DAY 04 ; UPPER UWE RIVER - FOOT OF MT. TRIKORA (B,L,D).
After breakfast, trek again with all our team to reach foot of Mt. Trikora around 4-5 hours through the small forest, muddy and stone. Lunch and dinner will serve in the Cave. All the team stay overnight in the cave. Porters with guide will set up the tent inside of the cave.
DAY 05 ; FOOT OF MT. TRIKORA - PEAK OF TRIKORA (B,L,D).
Having breakfast in the early morning, then you climb up to peak of Mt. Trikora about 4.500 meters above sea level. Guide and All the porters stay in the cave. Lunch box have provided like bread or grill chicken. Late afternoon you have to going back to the base camp with porters where they are waiting for you. Dinner and overnight in the cave/tent. Whenever the weather is not good you can try again for next day. Because in the afternoon always foggy and very cold one.
DAY 06 ; STILL IN THE CAVE (B,L,D)
You can try again if you are not satisfied to reach the top of Mt. Trikora. Maybe because the weather not friendly. We always prepare 2 days if we want to reach to the top of Mt. Trikora.
Lunch and dinner we have provided, stay overnight in the cave/tent.DAY 07 ; FOOT OF MT. TRIKORA - UPPER UWE RIVER (B,L,D).
Walk safari with all the team to the place where you have been before is upper Uwe river for overnight . Lunch and dinner will prepare.
DAY 08 ; UPPER UWE RIVER - LAKE HABEMA - WAMENA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, walk to lake habema and arrival at lake habema directly take a 4WD for going back to Wamena city around 3 hours. Free program in the city. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09 : WAMENA – JAYAPURA - DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport leaving for Jayapura by Trigana Air ETD 08:00. Arrive in Jayapura our staff will meet you at the Airport and accompany you for check in for the next flight for UPG, JKT and BALI.
